Finished the basic AI for the zombies
This is the second devlog post on the page, I'm sorry that I didn't posted for a long time but I post more less important updates in the discord server. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that a pretty important part of the game is almost done, and that part is..... Yes, you can guess by the title of the devlog, it's the AI. So it's almost done, the only thing that needs to be done right now is the day/night behaviour, which is pretty easy to do, but it will be done when I will add the day/night cycle to the game.
Also here's a demonstration of the AI:
So the current features of the AI are:
- The sight of view, which works like a radius, and if you're in the radius the AI will follow you until he can't see you anymore.
- The melee system, you already know what this does, it attacks the player when the AI is close to it.
- The random wander/patrol, you know what this does too, if the AI can't see the player he will randomly wander around until he will find it.
Now that the AI is almost done I will start working on another important part, and that is the inventory. And, after I finnish that part I will post another devlog here to let you know, also after I get the invetory done I might post another test build in the discord server, so if you haven't joined yet, you can do it now.
